National Sales Leader

Leaderboard.Exchange, a division of Peter Reek Ventures Inc, is pleased to be partnering with Oceanfood Sales in their search for a National Sales Leader.

This role reports directly to the leadership team and can be based in either their Vancouver or Mississauga office.

Since 1970, Oceanfood Sales has been providing Canadians with premium seafood.

The products they distribute are sustainably sourced from valued partners around the world.

They produce and import superior and sustainable products to retailers, restaurants, and food manufacturers.

They are well respected for working hard to consistently curate the best selection of seafood the world has to offer.

As the National Sales leader your mandate will be to grow, lead and nurture the National Sales Team consisting of 5-6 regional representatives throughout Canada.

You will help set the targets and align the team around the strategy to achieve them.

You will coach them through the tactics that will yield the highest returns and ensure their best chance at personal and team success.

Given that each season represents new opportunities for Oceanfoods to focus and win, you will be looking ahead to help maximize future sales by constantly looking for opportunities to meet customer’s seasonal demands.

You will mine for relevant data and use it to help guide important business decisions like building customer segments and delivering exactly what each of those segments want, when they want it.

This is not a hands-on sales role.

You will serve primarily as a coach and mentor to your sales team.

This role is about influencing and coaching your team to sales success.

In addition to that, you will help put the systems in place to ensure operational excellence.

You will be responsible for assessing, implementing and enhancing our sales systems, processes, procedures and documentation.

You will drive sales budgeting and forecasting and the programs designed to help achieve them.

You will lead sales meetings to ensure constant connectivity with your team.

You will regularly travel to meet with your team and support them with their key client relationships.

You will always be looking for opportunities to structure, evaluate and reinforce your team to optimize sales.
